AIRPLAY FOR MY MAC MID 2010 PATCH
Patch Dec 18 19 at 1:55 Sounds like Apple need to get their airplay discovery protocol sorted out, as I am having this exact same problem. Works with the Macbook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, MacMini and MacPro made mid 2011. The signal strength of your Apple TV should be at least 4 or 5 bars. My new smart TV has AirPlay built in, but my MacBook Pro (running Sierra) either cant find the signal or wont allow me to turn AirPlay on. Make sure that your base station also supports the 802.11n wireless networking standard for best performance.
AIRPLAY FOR MY MAC MID 2010 UPGRADE
Make sure that not too many users are connected to avoid lags or interruptions. If your Mac is running OS X Mavericks 10.9 or later, you can upgrade directly to macOS Big Sur. Running Airplay Mirroring on your Mac will send a lot of traffic through your Wi-Fi network.
